On this page you will find some information about the use of the conference management system we are using.
Submission of papers
To submit a paper for the conference „Simulation and Visualisation 2005“ you first need to register. To do so,
click on the link "Register new user" and enter all necessary information. Note that this is not a
registration for attending the conference. This is just for submitting a paper. For each paper one author needs
to register so that we can communicate. Keep the user name and password on a safe place - you will need it
later on.
After registration, you can log on to the system using your user name and password. The link "Submit Paper" leads
to a form for paper submission. Please fill in all entries. On the second page you can upload your paper.
Please follow the formatting guidelines and submit a PDF file. You can change your submission up to the
deadline as often as you want. The deadline is strict, so after the deadline no changes are possible anymore.
We suggest that you, therefore, submit your paper as early as possible.
Registration for Participation
To register as participant of the conference „Simulation and Visualisation 2005“ or one of the associated
workshops you first need to register within the Conference Management System. To do so,
click on the link "Register new user" and enter all necessary information. Keep the user name and password
on a safe place - you will need it later on.
After registration, you can log on to the system using your user name and password. The link "Register
as participant" leads to the page an which you can register as participant. Select from the top list what
applies to your current status (Meber of one of the shown associations, Student or Regular registration).
If you claim membership or students discount, please provide your membership number or your immatriculation
number in the line below. You need to bring your membership ID or student's ID to the conference so that we
can check the validity. Click the button "Proceed to Step 2"
In the following form, first select the event for which you want to register. You may register for the
conference OR one of the workshops. If you need extra copies of the proceedings or extra dinner tickets
you may enter the number in the second part of the form. Finally, select a payment method. You may pay
via bank transfer (Germany only) or by Credit Card upon arrival. Members of the University of Magdeburg
select "free of charge".
After Clicking "Proceed to Step 3" you will be presented a page showing the data you entered for
verification. If everything is okay, press the button "SAVE". Once your data is saved (and only then)
you can print an invoice. This is just for your records. You will get an official receipt when you
arrive at the conference. You will be sent an eMail with the registration details including all
information for transferring the money if you selected bank transfer as your payment method.
